JOB SUMMARY
The Area Supervisor (AS) is responsible for overseeing operations of the divisional office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
● Interviews prospective individuals served and their families
● Coordinates the expansion of current programs and supports and with the development of new services/supports.
● Promotes community acceptance and support through participation in community activities or liaison efforts with other agencies or entities.
● Abides by all policies and support, procedures, regulations and guidelines for safety, quality assurance and general corporate oversight.
● Works cooperatively with the home, state, and division offices.
● Assists with specialized training of staff members as required by Evergreen and local, state, and federal agencies.
● Monitors cost plans to make sure that each facility is operating within budget.
● Assist in the annual preparation of the budget for assigned area.
● Oversees and monitors the work of other administrative staff.
● Functions as the administrator on call.
● Provides technical assistance to administrative staff.
● Monitors timesheets, mileage sheets and daily schedules of staff.
● Functions as a case manager for assigned individuals served as needed.
● Develops, prepares, and monitors individual support plans according to the guidelines of the applicable state agency or any entity that provides regulatory oversight.
● Coordinates and arranges appointments, meetings and other administrative matters on behalf of supported individuals served or staff members.
● Assists in a supportive role for the individual served and his/her family and works with local and state agencies on behalf of assigned individuals served.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE
● Bachelor's degree preferred.
● At least one (1) year of experience working in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities.
● Two (2) years of administrative responsibility with at least one (1) in a supervisory role.
● Has at least two (2) years of experience of case management responsibility in an organization that serves individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
● Combination of education and experience will be considered.
● Completes all required state training within time period set forth in state guidelines.
● Working knowledge of federal and state guidelines related to relevant program(s).
● Working knowledge of computers, Windows 7, Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude to learn other computer programs.

● Constantly moves about to coordinate work
● Regularly works in fast pace environment with multiple task deadlines
● Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds
● Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions
● Constantly alert and observant during working hours

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
● May be required to attend seminar or job-related training courses.
● Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
● Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.
● Must be able to prioritize work tasks.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
● Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
● Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
● Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.

EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES
● Must have a good driving record which meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation.
● Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
● May be asked to work some evenings when required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
● General office environment.
Compensación: $13.52 per hour
